The merger of the Insurance Intermediaries Association and the
Association of Insurance Intermediaries will create a trade body called
the the Association of Insurance Intermediaries and Brokers, with over 500
members.


Mike Slack of the AII is to be chairman of the new body, with Tony Howe,
the current chief executive of the IIA, as his deputy.
