The Association of British Insurers has gone live with its year 2000
database, despite the poor response from brokers and intermediaries.


The database can be accessed via the ABI's website by participating
companies.


So far, just under 2000 brokers and intermediaries out of a potential
15,000 firms have returned questionnaires and are now listed on the
website.


All those firms on the database have assessed their readiness for the year
2000 according to one of five grades, ranging from not having
