The mortgage payment protection market is being shaken up with a new
product from Berkeley Alexander.


FreeSafe is available to new and existing mortgage borrowers aged between
18 and 65, irrespective of their occupation but provided they work more
than 16 hours a week.


The product offers 'back-to-day-one' cover, no initial exclusion period,
premium waver during a claim, portability between lenders, six months'
free cover for new mortgage borrowers and three months' for existing
ones.


Brokers receive
