Chubb Europe is opening two new regional branches and is slashing its
agency base, in a bid to improve its profitability in niche lines of
business.


The insurer is planning to open a branch in Belfast in the next couple of
months and will set up an office in Edinburgh early next year. It is
currently considering several sites in Scotland and is interviewing
internal candidates for the post of Edinburgh branch manager.
