CGNU has denied reports in the national press that 600 jobs in its global risk division are in jeopardy, following the company's decision to close the division down.Louise Zucchi, media relations manager at CGNU, said: "It's largely rubbish. We are withdrawing from the market, but basically between 200 and 250 redundancies will be made. All the people whose jobs directly relate to global risks will go."
She continued: "The jobs affected are in Basildon and London. It won't happen immediately
