Willis has gone live with its Commercial Network, its initiative
aimed at securing small and medium risks via a select group of provincial
brokers.


The project was unveiled over a year ago but called a "franchise"
operation.


Since then Willis has been piloting the scheme with a handful of
brokers.


Hugh Warren, chief executive of Willis Commercial Risks, told PB: "The
term 'franchise' was a smoke screen for our competitors. What we are
really talking about is a trading partnership to attack the SME
mar
