The Insurance Fraud Bureau has carried out a sting against a criminal gang alleged to be carrying out staged motor vehicle accidents in order to make fraudulent claims.

The IFB has been working with Hertfordshire Constabulary's Serious and Organised Crime Group and, on 21 November, arrest warrants were executed for eight people at six addresses in Watford, Hatfield, Isleworth, and Birmingham.
