Lloyd's-based Brockbank Syndicate Management has launched a newintellectual property patent infringement product for pharmaceutical
companies and medical device manufacturers.
This product protects against damages attributable to claims for wilful
infringement, where a pharmaceutical company may have infringed another's
patent, by conducting tests on its product before the patent has
expired.
Until now, this is an aspect of cover which many insurers have shied away
from, according to Ron Reshefsky
