Almost a quarter of the membership of the Association of Insurance and Risk Managers may consider changing brokers in light of the Spitzer allegations.
Its recent membership survey, for which it had a 40% response rate, revealed that 49% would consider changing broker and 66% will require greater disclosure of information from brokers at renewal.
The survey also showed that 93% want the practice of contingent commissions banned or subjected to investigation by the Financial Services Authority.
