Mutual health care provider BCWA is hoping to buck the trend in the stagnant individual private medical insurance market by enlisting the support of brokers to distribute a recently developed modular product.

BCWA, acquired by HSA last year, is keen to address the sticking point for many potential customers that PMI is too expensive. The modular approach allows customers to choose specific areas of cover, offering the choice to mitigate against areas they consider NHS provision to be weak.
