Nearly 50% of the premiums Royal & SunAlliance distributes via
brokers are now sold net of commission, according to RSA's marketing and
distribution manager Brendan McManus.


Mr McManus said RSA is not pushing net rates despite the fact it pays
£300m per year in commission. He stated: "The better brokers are getting
ready for what will happen in 18 months. Smaller brokers are sticking to
commission."


RSA recently revised its commission structure on core commercial classes
of business, meaning it has
