Tough market conditions have meant that Aon still does not know when
it will sell its insurance companies, says chief executive and chairman
Dennis Mahoney.


The broking giant announced it wanted to sell London General Insurance and
Combined Insurance Company of America in August but, according to Mr
Mahoney, is still no nearer finding a buyer.


He said: "We would have liked to have spun them off - we felt it was the
