Property owners is a surprisingly profitable area. Not surprising then that Groupama is vying for more business. But does the insurer really have anything different to offer brokers? Simon Threadgold reports.

Insurance for property owners is one of the rare classes of
business that regularly makes a profit. So it is hardly surprising
to see insurers striving to increase their market share. The latest
initiative has come from Groupama. Maggie Litster, Groupama's
commercial insurances director, accuses the major composites of
having dominated the scene for far too long.

Brokers upbeat on 2024 growth – Aviva

Brokers are more optimistic about growth in the coming year than they have been since before 2020, according to Aviva, with 83% expecting their business to grow compared to 76% last year.
