Outsourcing group Capita has reported record profits and is
predicting a rosy future. The company's shares jumped 8% to 457.5p after
the company reported a rise in pre-tax profits of 52% in the first half to
£20.9m.

Growth was robust in the private sector, which accounts for a little under
half of the total Capita revenue. Turnover rose 55% to £323m, but
impending contracts should see the turnover for the full year rise to at
least £690m.
