Stand back and look closer.

Brokers should perhaps hold fire on complaining about commission cuts and take in the bigger picture, but then again, who can blame them for looking after number one?

And so N2 has come and gone. There hasn't been a revolution. No-one
has shut down large swathes of the insurance industry. What was all the
fuss about you might ask?

For those who have been worrying about matters other than the latest
regulatory developments, N2 was the date - 1 December - on which the
Financial Services Authority took on all the powers created in the
Financial Services and Markets Act. This includes responsibility for
insurance companies, both life and non-life.
