Sampo Industrial Insurance NV has acquired the renewal rights toColonia Baltica's UK non-marine business portfolio, valued at £20m. All of
the business will be rebranded as Sampo as a part of the deal.
The portfolio is split into liability, 41%; property, 46%; and
engineering, 14%. At least half the business will be processed from two
offices in Birmingham and Manchester. Nearly all the 20 staff will be
transferred to Sampo.
