Q: My broker software vendor insists I apply its system updates as
soon as they are available. What are the implications if I delay?


A: Software houses provide you with new versions of their systems as part
of your standard maintenance agreement. The new versions will cover new
functions as well as any 'bug fixes' and should not be too disruptive to
install if packaged well. Staying on a safe, old release forever is not an
option and will ultimately not be supported.
