Acquisitive Equity Insurance Brokers, the broking arm of Equity Insurance Group has acquired Northern-Ireland-based broker Open and Direct Insurance Services from private equity company Alchemy Partners for an undisclosed sum, its largest deal to date. It is claimed the deal will make Equity the largest insurance broker in Northern Ireland, with over £60m of gross written premium.
Open and Direct was established in 2002, has £47m GWP and has eight branches across Belfast, Coleraine, Dungiven
