John Walker, the broker at the centre of an £11m insurance fraud, has been jailed for almost five years. His firm Tribune, which means a person who upholds the rights of the people, sold bogus cover leaving more than 43,000 clients uninsured. Sentencing him to four years and ten months at Edinburgh High Court, Lord Carloway said it had been fraud on a "very large scale" which had caused many significant losses.
