Hastings bucks job cut trends, with 500 hires
Hastings Direct is aiming to hire more than 500 people across a range of business areas over the next 12 months.
Hastings confirmed it currently employs 5,000 people.
According to its most recent accounts for the year ended 31 December 2025 Hastings Insurance Services Limited employed an average of 4733 people during the year, up from 3,900 in 2024.
This was split between 4422 operational staff (2024: 3741) and 311 support staff (2024: 249).
