MBP takes minority stake in £32m GWP broker

Hugh Campbell

Insurance investment vehicle Minority Broker Partnerships has acquired a minority stake in Caleb Roberts Insurance Services, an independent agricultural and rural insurance broker operating across Mid Wales, Herefordshire and Shropshire.

MBP said the partnership will support Caleb Roberts’ ambitious plans to grow from £32m gross written premium over the next three years, through organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

With 75 employees across six offices, Caleb Roberts is led by managing director Hugh Campbell, claims director Charlie Campbell and commercial director Andrew Brock. It has been operating for more than 80 years.

The existing management team will retain control, with its people, culture and local relationships
