Blanc urges CII to keep pace with AI developments

Amanda Blanc, group CEO of Aviva, has urged the Chartered Insurance Institute to “stay relevant” as she called on the CII to keep its qualifications up with the speed of artificial intelligence developments.

In the opening keynote sesssion, Navigating Professionalism in the World of AI, at the CII’s Navigating Future Risks event today, Blanc said she was not aiming to be “harsh” as she explained: “A CII that rises to this moment has never been more needed.

“No single insurer can set the industry’s ethical or operational framework for AI on its own.
