MGA Arkel extends AmTrust capacity to £380m
Specialist non-standard managing general agent Arkel has secured £380m in delegated authority capacity from AmTrust, extending the binder to 2031.
Part of the Atec Group, Arkel will use it to underwrite niche property across several lines of business including household, caravan and beach huts.
In July 2025 Arkel had secured an increased limit of £120m gross written premium of A-rated capacity with AmTrust over the following three years for non-standard household insurance.
In addition to the AmTrust extension, Arkel has also recently renewed its £25m delegated authority binder with Lloyd’s for landlords’ let property.
Arkel’s GWP has grown
