MGA consolidator creates UK group structure
Bishop Street Underwriters, owner of Landmark Underwriting and Avid Insurance, has created a new UK group structure to bring its portfolio of UK specialty insurance businesses under a single management framework.
The US-based managing general agents consolidator and incubator, backed by RedBird Capital Partners, completed the deal for London-based Landmark in February last year, its first investment outside of North America.
Bishop Street went on to snap up Avid in October 2025. That transaction also brought in specialist construction MGA Incorporated Insurance Group which Avid had purchased in 2021.
