Wakam targets doubling GWP to £370m in 2027

Wakam UK has committed to investing in its partner proposition and operational capabilities to support brokers, MGAs and insurance businesses as it targets doubling gross written premium.

The UK firm’s GWP hit £173m in 2025, and it has set out the goal of achieving £370m in 2027.

The company noted growth has been underpinned by a focus on long-term partnerships, disciplined execution and the ability to move quickly when developing and launching new propositions.

The business has secured several partnerships in niche markets including with Top 100 UK broker Principal Insurance in March to enter the motorcycle market; with Got You Covered; and with Jigsaw, part of PIB Group, in March
