Allianz UK grows profit by 18% with stable business volumes

Allianz UK increased operating profit by 18.2% in the first half of 2026 to £265m as the insurer cited that broker relationships “remain key”.

The growth came as UK business volumes in the six months dropped slightly from £2.28bn in the same period of 2025 to £2.27bn.

Across the provider including Allianz UK, Allianz Commercial, Allianz Partners and Allianz Trade, total business volume fell by 2.8% to £3.54 bn.

The combined operating ratio in Allianz UK improved by two percentage points to 90.9%.

Peach and owner grow in 2025

Peach, which offers underwriting capacity to brokers, schemes and managing general agents for business insurance cover, grew in 2025 as profits at parent NPA Insurance also rose, maintaining the trends of the year before.

Ageas UK GWP jumps as Esure deal flows in
