We've all see e-scooters whizzing along pathways and roads, and we've all heard about the potential for accidents. DWF's Nigel Teasdale digs in to the implications for brokers.
At the beginning of October, the Transport Select Committee released its report on e‑scooters calling upon the government to take swift action to legalise the use of privately owned e-scooters on roads and cycle lanes. This followed the commencement of e-scooter rental trials across the UK earlier in the summer, although less than a week after it had begun the trial in Coventry was halted with concerns over safety.
