The CEO of Towergate Advisory reveals how the business has transformed and talks about his broking roots

Joe Thelwell is a broker at his core and proud of his roots in the insurance industry.

He explains that his first experience of broking was at six years old, when off sick from school, his father, who was also a broker, took him into the office for the day when there was nobody else to look after him.

Thelwell reminisces: “I remember playing Buckaroo on the desk.”

So broking has always been an important part of his life and he argues that brokers play an important role in helping businesses
