Madison Dearborn Partners invests in Towergate
Private equity firm makes move through technical takeover offer.
US-based private equity firm Madison Dearborn Partners (MDP) has, through its investment vehicle Tango Investments, moved to invest in Towergate.
It has offered to buy for all outstanding issued shares and warrants in TIG Topco and Sentry Holdings, both holding companies of Towergate Insurance.
However, this has come after a series of discussions and reaching agreements with Towergate's main shareholders.
