Towergate holding company makes £25.99m pre-tax loss

Losses have decreased compared to the same period in 2015.

Towergate holding company Finco has posted a £25.99m loss before tax for the first six months of 2016.

This compares to a loss of £58.51m for the same period in 2015.

The business also saw a decrease in income from commission and fees which fell to £163.78m (H1 2015: £176.92m).

Operating losses were just over £3m compared to £36.41m in the first half of 2015.

Second quarter
Looking at Q2 specifically, the organisation posted commission and fees of £87.06m, down from £94.65m in Q2 2015.
