SEIB reports drop in operating profit and revenue for 2015

Broker states it is better placed for a strong performance in 2016.

South Ockendon-based SEIB saw operating profits drop 31 percent from £2.47m last year to £1.70m for the year ended 31 December 2015, the broker has reported in a filing at Companies House.

This was attributed to its commission income decreasing as it was "compelled" to change carriers on a significant scheme earlier that year.

ALA expands range with pothole insurance

Yorkshire-based GAP insurance provider ALA Insurance has expanded its product offering with the launch of a specialist pothole insurance policy, in a move it claimed targets one of the “more persistent and costly problems facing UK motorists”.
