Gallagher appoints Michael Rea as chief operating officer
The broker has also taken on Carol Richmond as chief risk officer.
Michael Rea has joined Arthur J Gallagher International as exclusively predicted by Insurance Age in April.
The broker confirmed Rea has been appointed as chief operating officer (COO) and added that Carol Richmond had joined as chief risk officer.
Both recruits will sit on the firm's international brokerage executive committee led by international CEO Grahame Chilton.
In addition Gallagher announced that Ian Story will stay on in the role of chief financial officer for the international
