Marsh buys SME Insurance Services

Co-founders Roger Snowden and Jason Gandy will join Marsh.

Marsh has agreed to buy Leeds-based SME Insurance Services (SMEi) for an undisclosed sum.

The deal is expected to close in the third quarter of this year.

Marsh detailed that SMEi has both an online and telephone-based business model as well as operating Broker2Broker, an online trading platform that offers independent insurance brokers access to a wide range of products through a panel of commercial insurers.
