Paymentshield appoints Rob Evans as CFO

New recruit joins from Westfield Health.

Paymentshield has appointed Rob Evans to the role of chief financial officer (CFO).

He has replaced Julian Winfield who left the business in June last year.

Evans has joined the Southport-based insurance provider from health insurer Westfield Health.

Prior to being finance director at Westfield Health, he held a number of positions at companies including Scarborough Building Society Group and Zurich Financial Services.

Brokers have mixed reaction on Zurich/Beazley deal

Insurance brokers have given a mixed response to the potential Zurich/Beazley deal highlighting the acquisition would create a “strong proposition” and could create opportunities but noted another competitor leaving the market as a medium-term worry.
