Biba launches 2015 manifesto

Manifesto focuses on emerging risk, regulation, Insurance Bill, careers, Europe and motor.

The British Insurance Brokers' Associaton (Biba) has launched its manifesto for 2015 with the title 'Insuring Britain's Future'.

The launch took place at the Houses of Parliament and the manifesto includes 20 calls to action for the government and regulator and 11 Biba commitments on issues affecting general insurance brokers.

Steve White, Biba's chief executive, said: "We have a number of new issues to raise but regulation remains the key priority for members.

Biba 2024: FCA to take its time on transparency proposals

Emily Shepperd, chief operating officer of the Financial Conduct Authority, has said the regulator was “overwhelmed” at the response and amount of feedback to its transparency proposals, and that it is going to “really take our time” when considering any possible next steps.
