Vibhu Sharma to lead Zurich UK GI after Smith’s retirement
Internal appointee steps across from group controller position in Switzerland.
Vibhu Sharma will take over as CEO of the UK general insurance business at Zurich from April next year when incumbent Dave Smith retires.
Sharma has been based in Switzerland as group controller since 2012. He joined the provider in 2008 as chief financial officer in North America.
He worked with KPMG for 17 years before joining Zurich.
At KPMG he was a partner specialising in insurance and reinsurance before moving on to the reinsurance broker, John B. Collins Associates, initially as chief
