Fraudulent call back requests could cost up to £50 a time, brokers warned

Fraudsters using 070 numbers are targeting insurance brokers to con them out of money. The issue was raised by technology specialist LifeQuote, which focuses predominantly on protection insurance and also deals with general insurance brokers.

The business confirmed it had been targeted on several occasions and, while it had lost only a relatively small amount of money, it has warned the market on the need to avoid being swindled. According to LifeQuote, brokers are at risk when fraudsters
