Willis back in the black with £229m 2013 profit

Broker reverses the hefty loss posted for 2012.

Willis Group is back in the black after posting a $377m [£229m] profit for 2013, reversing the $433m loss it recorded for 2012.

The broker registered a £74m profit for Q4 2013, a marked improvement on the $800m loss it racked up for Q4 2012.

Overall, Willis saw total revenues edge up to $3.63bn from 2012's $3.46bn. As for Q4 2013, revenues also nudged up to $911m compared to $867m during Q4 2012.
