McManus appointed UK retail CEO as Gallagher completes Giles buy

Broking giant confirms new role and title as Giles is rolled into retail division.

Brendan McManus - formerly chief executive officer of Giles - has been appointed CEO of UK retail at Arthur J Gallagher with immediate effect.

The announcement came as Gallagher completed the £233m cash acquisition of Giles.

According to the broker, McManus' top priority will be the integration of the two businesses.

He will also sit on the international executive, led by Arthur J Gallagher International CEO David Ross.

Ross said: "While it feels great to have completed our largest ever deal
