Peter Staddon joins MGAA as MD

The Managing General Agents' Association (MGAA) has appointed Peter Staddon as its first managing director, effective from 1 November.

Staddon will be tasked with regional expansion, building the MGAA's profile and increasing its membership base, as well as its operational aspects.

He was previously head of technical services at the British Insurance Brokers' Association (Biba) and left in July 2011.

Since his time at Biba, he has worked with both Romford-based motorcycle broking specialist Devitt and compliance firm RWA Group.

He brings over 40 years' experience in the broking and delegated authority markets to his new role.
