SSP boss insists Swinton fine will not impact relationship

SSP group chief executive Laurence Walker has insisted that the hefty fine slapped on client Swinton has not impacted on the software provider.

In May, it was confirmed that Swinton had renewed its relationship with SSP for a further five years.

The deal saw the software provider giving access to its personal lines broking systems with Swinton also accessing SSP Quote Hub. 

Last week it emerged that the Financial Conduct Authority had hit Swinton with a £7.4m fine for failing to treat its customers fairly in terms of its telephone sales of monthly add-on insurance policies.

Speaking to Insurance Age, Walker maintained that Swinton's
