Axa swoops for former RSA man

Welcome mat

Axa Commercial Lines and Personal Intermediary has snapped up former RSA man Owen Shelly as mid corp development underwriter for its Birmingham and Bristol branches.

The move comes as part of a regional strategy to develop the mid-corp proposition for brokers in the area.

Shelly, who spent three years as senior property underwriter at RSA, has also been a property and casualty underwriter for Tokio Marine Europe.

Barrie King, Birmingham and Bristol branch manager, said: "Owen joins us with a blue-chip career and nearly 20 years' experience of commercial insurance. We are committed to building the best regional teams to support brokers around the country."
