Towergate swoops for former BGL man

Derek Henry joins Towergate

Towergate Insurance has unveiled former BGL and Capita man Derek Henry as group carrier relationship director.

Mr Henry - who joined Junction as corporate partnerships director in 2011 - has been tasked with the "commercial development and central oversight" of insurer relationships within the Towergate group. 

The broker said Mr Henry's arrival followed the recent renewal of £250m capacity within Towergate Underwriting, after having struck agreements with RSA, Allianz, QBE and Zurich.

Mr Henry - who has also worked for Capita and RAC - will report directly to Clive Nathan, CEO underwriting.

Peach and owner grow in 2025
