L&G revamps critical illness cover
Legal & General (L&G) has revealed a series of updates to its critical illness product to widen cover for new policies.
The provider listed the changes as including a new definition for cardiac arrest and a change to the major organ transplant definition. It also detailed that the maximum age at the policy's outset had been moved to 67, while accident hospitilisation benefit had also been added.
The provider first moved into the critical illness market over 20 years ago and has retained its five-star rating from Defaqto for 2013.
L&G claimed that the new and improved definitions were designed to improve clarity
