Patrick Smith retires from Swinton

Patrick Smith has retired from Swinton, the business has confirmed.

Mr Smith was previously a non-executive of Swinton Group and chairman of Swinton Holdings. He will now no longer act in any capacity for either company.

According to documents at Companies House and entries on the Financial Services Authority's website, Mr Smith's resignation from Swinton Group came into force on 31 March this year.

He was previously chief executive at the broker from January 2005 to April 2009 at which point he became chairman and remained on the company's board.
