Brimecome replaces Hamilton as Axa chairman

Axa UK has appointed Ian Brimecome as chairman of the board replacing Anthony Hamilton who is retiring, having been in the role since September 2000.

Mr Brimecome has been a non-executive director of Axa UK for six years and takes up his new role today. He has over 30 years' experience of the financial services industry in a wide variety of roles and in more than 20 countries.

He also serves as chairman of Equitable Life Assurance Society, Kiln Group and Delphi Financial Group as well as executive chairman international of Tokio Marine Holdings, chairman of Tokio Marine North America and deputy chairman of Tokio Marine Asia.

Biba 2024: FCA to take its time on transparency proposals

Brokers upbeat on 2024 growth – Aviva

Brokers are more optimistic about growth in the coming year than they have been since before 2020, according to Aviva, with 83% expecting their business to grow compared to 76% last year.
