CII group proposes London Market internship framework

The Chartered Insurance Institute’s (CII) London Market faculty New Generation group has proposed a new internship programme to help young people begin a career in the market.

The group conducted research into how much provision there is for individuals to enter the London insurance market, and found that there was no formal framework for internships.

It also found that “not all employers know how to attract highly-talented staff members from diverse backgrounds”.

In response to these findings, the CII group, which was set up to support the retention of talent and help develop future leaders in the insurance market, has suggested an internship programme which includes
