Top insurers banned from DVLA database

RSA, Groupama and LV are among the household names to have been temporarily suspended from receiving vehicle keeper information from the DVLA, Insurance Age can reveal.

The bans, of varying lengths, were all enforced within the last few years as the table below sets out.

Markerstudy and NIG Insurance are also among the insurers which were barred, according to a Freedom of Information request conducted by Insurance Age

In total, 20 businesses - which the DVLA defines as an ‘insurance company' - have been suspended over the last six years.
