Insurers set to decide on pricing hub

Hub would provide real-time pricing from a range of insurers in one place and help brokers compete with direct writers

Polaris has confirmed that it is working with several insurers to create a new market-sponsored, real-time rating hub for personal lines. A feasibility study has been completed, and it is now, according to the company, up to insurers to decide the next steps.

The new pricing hub, which is being developed under the name iParc, would essentially be an update of Polaris’ original iMarket system, rejigged for the personal lines market. The expected roll-out would be with motor lines before moving
