CDL unveils new MD as founder Hogg takes new role

CDL has unveiled Gary Johnson as group managing director in a move which will see company founder Tom Hogg move upstairs as group chairman.

Mr Johnson - who previously had been heading up the software house's customer services operation - has spent more than 25 years at CDL. 

Speaking about the changes, Mr Hogg explained: "At the age of 77, I feel the time has come to ensure organised succession planning is in place and have considered carefully how best to take the company forwards.

Aviva doubling down for customers, says Martin

Aviva is committed to pushing on with an “absolute focus on customer” and will continue “doubling down”, David Martin, managing director for UK commercial and chief distribution officer, told Insurance Age as he teased a “major new proposition” pencilled in for the end of the third quarter will catch brokers’ eyes.
